TCP/Decalin?

Post by bentley »

Today received a note from Aircraft Spruce indicating they wanted to substitute my back order for TCP with something called Decalin. A quick research found the stuff to be a common addtive to jet fuel but I could find no reference to use in avgas. Anyone ever heard of it or used it?
I just cleaned my plugs after 40hrs of 100LL use with semi-religious use of Marvel and only had slight lead deposits. Not sure I want to pour an unknown into my C-145.

Just got a call from Chief Aircraft and they said that the TCP that they had on back order should be arriving soon.
