My 1954 170B (serial 26152) was blown over on floats at the dock and bent the wing tip. We've got some spar, rib and aileron repairs to do. My engineer has not worked on a 170 wing structure before and needs to know what service manual is available for the model. He has a Cessna 100 series (52-63) service manual but it does not appear to refer to the 170 B model specifically. What service manual covers the wing structure?

Sorry to hear about your 170.

The wing structure on the 170B is nearly identical to the early 172 and 175. I believe there are only some minor differences in fuel tank bay area. There is no service manual for the 170 other then the "Cessna 100 Series 52-63". Control rigging data is found in the owners manual. If your engineer (mechanic??) has worked on any Cessna 100 series wings, including the later models, he should have no problem with the 170.
