Weight and Balance

I am just finishing the restoration on a 1950 C-170A but the weight and balance sheet is missing out of the logbook.

Would it be possible to get a copy from someone. That way I have a start for the equipment list when I do mine.

Thank You,

The W&B information for your specific aircraft is still available from Cessna - for a price (I want to say something on the order of $50). Contacting Cessna directly may take several days to generate a callback, but if you contact your local Cessna dealer they can usually get a response much quicker.

This info will be what was generated at the factory in 1950 for your specific N#.

You already have "start list" for your equipment list. It's the Type Certificate Data Sheet.
The original list for your aircraft is doubtless so far out of date as to be useless! I'd never spend any money to get it.
Take inventory of your aircraft and it's equipment, list it, and weigh the aircraft for a current wt and bal.

On the web, go to http://av-info.faa.gov . You'll find lots of interesting stuff there. On the left, under "Information on," click on "Aircraft," and it will take you to a page with a link "Type Certificate Data Sheets" at the bottom. That goes to a page where you can search by manufacturer and type. You're looking for data sheet # A-799, and the latest revision is dated March 18, 2004.

Happy Hunting!

If you are a TIC170A member, it's also available in the Members Only section under "Other Documents"

Maybe a minor point, but that one is two revisions out of date. At the FAA site you always get the latest one.

Yep, complete with errors also. Check out their Flaps statement in this latest revision (53) regarding certain B-models. "Note: S/N 20267 through 26504 were delivered without the 20° Notch."

I don't think that is really what I am looking for. Does anyone have a copy of an actual Wt and Balance shhet for a 1950 C-170 a that I can look at.

Thanks,

Guy
