Please explain how you came up with this chart. I think it's a wee bit optimistic--the last time I had my 170 up to 160 mph,I think the fuel burn was more like 12.5 gph! Of course,I was running nitro at the time......

Not me, I was getting .05 gph in my dead man's spiral

It is a curve fit of published performance data. The values above 145 hp are extrapolations of the data. I was checking to see what the advantages of going to the 220 Franklin and the 180 Lycoming were versus the cost.
