Is EDO 2000 underfloated for a cessna 170? I am also looking at an another one that has the float attachement for EDO 2000 as well. Would have expected a little bigger floats with the O-300Cont!

Bruno,I'm not a floatplane pilot so I don't know if the Edo 2000's are enough float for a 170. I see in the ads for new Wipline's they offer their 2100 for 170's.

Backing up all the DM8043 prop lovers!
N3243A, I just put the 2nd 8043 prop on N4387B and still get 100mph or 87KTS Garmin 150 verified@ 2450rpm. In fact I'm always monitoring the GS. Oh, and I'm 8.50's, 180 gear legs, float kit, big walrus tusk looking exhaust extensions, all kinds of drag. As you know we just flew all the way to Arkansas. I monitored the GS constantly for 40hrs..
At 2450 rpm's I get 100mph = Fact. We do have the Gap Seals. After we crossed the US boarder we had a tail wind and the gs went to 120mph. My goodness, who would need to go faster. My wife and I kept high-fiving everytime it read 100kts. It will be neat to see if I can still get off the ground in 300-400 ft in Arkansas, though! Also, I'm used to putting those Big B Barn door flaps down at take off and rising like a helicopter. Point that 8043 towards the sky and get out of there. If you're going to be flying in the mountains you definitely want an 8043. Dominion Propellars in Anchorage (907 349-5942) has them for ~$2700.

He is telling the truth about his 170B performance, cause it match's mine.
Oh and Stall? Mine is a lot less than what is being posted here.
