Assn member Paul Rostykus of oregon wrote up his Franklin conversion in the 170 News about 5 years ago. You might think about contacting him with your question(s). Have you contacted the STC holder? I think Franklin Engine Conversions in Fort Collins Colorado has it?

Matt Haag, an Association member, did this conversion a couple years ago, he may be able to offer some insight as well.

I am not at home, so I'll check for sure when I get back (this weekend). My recollection is that the adapter is part of the fuel line conversion kit that Franklin (Ft. Collins) sold us with the STC kit. It was an optional item at the time, and we opted for it.
