Proper 850 x 6 tire pressure

Can anyone tell me the proper air pressure for these tires.?

I am running about 23lbs/sq in but my friends (?) tell me that they work better around 16 -18 lbs. The wear pattern at 23 indicates that this may be a bit too high.

With 18, I don't bounce nearly as much but I am worrying about twisting the valve stems off off I step too hard on the brakes.

Thanks,

Pete

I run mine @ 22-24 for "smooth surface" operations
(pavement or relatively well manicured grass / decent
dirt or gravel strips). Makes it easier to move the airplane
around.

If I'm going into rougher places, I'll drop the pressure down
to 16-18.

I fill my 800's to about 22 psi. When they start looking a bit too soft they're down around 16-18 psi. 22 psi is easy to push out of the hangar, noticably harder when they're at 16-18. Doesn't seem to make a lot of difference landing, at least on pavement & fairly smooth grass or gravel.
