A pair of used C-180 gear legs cost on average about $2000 these days. Easy installation. Be sure of the quality of the parts by having a good inspection using NDI methods.
Be advised that the FUZZ, in its infinite wisdom, has issued an STC
to some guy after about fifty years of installations. Now you must pay him two hundred bucks or so to do something that used to be free!

At least it's a fellow TIC170A member.... Eric LeClercq (Quebec) (and that much is usually req'd in mechanic's fees to walk field approvals thru these days....IF...you can get a field approval. Since the field approval procedure has become so problematical of late,...it's a good thing someone has the STC available so inexpensively, IMHO)
