Yokes

I have a 52 B mdl which needs the yokes replaced.I found some from 1955,but the part # are different.Does someone know why.

Are they the same shape and therefore apparently the same part? The early 172 used "bow-tie" shaped yokes as opposed to the 170's "prone-D" shaped yokes. I have a set of the bow-ties in my ragwing and really prefer them to the original 170 yokes. Better looking and more ergonomic. Oops, wrong word, they didn't do ergonomic back in the day.....more "comferble", how's that?

I am a more "rounded" type of guy than the "square" types. (Just couldn't let that one go by, Eric.)

The older I get, the squarer I get. Also the rounder I get. I don't know if that's an oxymoron, a contradiction, or a riddle.
One thing hasn't changed, though: "I AM the man from nantucket...."
