Quick Drain for IO-360 Needed

I recently had to remove a leaking quick drain (oil sump) from an IO-360. It is an Autovalve PN BJ060AH4S. The top seal was shot and needs replacement. I called Autovalve and they said the valve is not a feild repariable item. Unfortunately the valve in question is no longer produced but they will be happy to make a one-time produciton run for about $450 (ouch!).
I need an approved quick drain with 1" x 20 thread to replace mine. anyone have any suggestins? Much thanks!

Bruce-
I have a quickdrain valve that I bought for the IO-360 on my skyhawk that I ended up not needing as it already had one.
I think it is the P5000 (scroll down here
http://www.sacskyranch.com/acatalog/Sac ... es_53.html )
Not a 1" - is that what you meant?
Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks, Thomas. Yes, I need the 1" diameter 18 thread valve. The P5000 won't work but I think the F10 at the top of the page looks like it is just what I need. Thanks for the link as a google search turned up nothing. I'll give these folks a call after Christmas.

Bruce, according to their catalog, Wag Aero (800-558-6868) says the Cont. IO-360 engine has a 5/8" -18 drain (CAT # 770-000). The O-300 uses the 1"-18 drain (CAT # 771-000). In any case, the SAF-AIR brand is priced approx. $59. Wag Aero is one of our supporters.
I have the SAF-AIR and like it very much, as it has a short nipple on it which accepts a 3/8" piece of tubing to drain the oil into a bucket, yet the push-and-twist function locks it in place.

Yes, George - you are correct. I have seen the same info, hence my solicitation for assistance here. Never the less, my IO-360 has a 1" hole in the bottom of the oil sump. The plug I got to replace the quick drain came out of an identical sump from a local shop.
Thanks again to all for the help.

I guess I didn't realize you were referring to a Continental - mine is a lycoming!
Good luck finding the part.

Well, in that case, it should be a simple matter to justo order one as if you intended to install it in a O-300 and the size/thread count should work for you?

Still do - it's a '97 R model. 160hp IO-360.
Not gonna sell it until I'm signed off and comfortable in the taildragger...

Well dip me in ---- and call me stinky! I didn't know about those new airplanes. When I saw that they had Lycoming 360 cu/in engines, I assumed they were straight valve engines of 180 HP
I don't believe I've ever seen one.
Thanks for straightening me out.
