Does anyone know if a company by the name of Aircraft Design Service Co. is still in the business of making glare shields? I have a flyer that I picked up at the 1978 convention. Kind of faded but readable. Iv'e tried locating them on the internet with no luck.
Thanks,
Gary

Tim,

When did you hear he passed away? I spoke with him and bought light bulbs from him in September 2004. You're right -- he seemed a swell guy.

Best Regards,

John

I'm not 100% sure. I think it was in the 170 news letter he isn't in the directory anyway. I bought extra bulbs from him too. I couldn’t' find anyone that had them.

Roy Shores passed away.

The glare shields were from Bob Schroers. He hasn't been a member in a while. The last convention he attended, 1997, I think his son or son-in-law brought him.

Do you see a number on the glass of the bulb? NAPA probably either carries them or can get them, believe it or not. They're likely either a Sylvania or GE bulb.

Or just jumped the gun, after all we're all going to end up, well, at the end anyway. Or some would say at the beginning. Or something. :?

Just ordered some replacement light bulbs for my glare shield from Bob Schroers. He charges 29.00 for 5 bulbs including shipping. His address was incorrectly list in a previous post. Correct address is 4479 139th SE, Bellevue, Wa. 98006-2211. His phone number is 425-746-9790.
