My 55 is currently wearing original metal wheel pants. They are however, lumpy enough to be annoying. Has anybody installed the Aircraft Spruce original style fiberglass pants? Looks like you can get them with the bulkheads installed, dont know about the mud scraper. Whats the process? Is the axle hole predrilled? Any riveting required? Thanks

Judging by the fact that two sets of original wheel pants went for 2,000 and 2.500 dollars on e-bay recently, you might consider having a good sheet metal guy work on those lumps...Russ Farris

Listen to what Russ says. If you're any kind of a "purist", you'll never be able to sleep at night with fiberglas wheel fairings installed on your airplane.
