Can one put an O300D crank in a C145 if they are willing to change props? Bill K
To change an engine from one designation to another (such as substituting a 6 bolt crank into an O-300-A engine which originally had an 8-bolt crank), one needs to follow the TCM Service Bulletin M75-6, Rev. 1.

As for whether a C-145 may be so converted to an O-300-C (as such a modification would be under the first scenario) one might have to consult with TCM to see if that would meet the Service Bulletin.
