Looking for a recommendation for a good engine shop in eastern Wyoming or northern Colorado? I’ve contacted a shop in Greeley, CO based on a local reference but any added information I can get here would be nice.

Western Skyways in Montrose, CO. Tell David Leis I said "hi". (and for him to plan to donate to our convention this summer.)

Definitely Western Skyways. They've done a dozen engines for us. Ask for Trent.

Western Skyways is good, we've used them but not lately
MAC Aircraft Engines in Billings MT is also an excellent shop (406) 373-6554 . ask for Tim McGinness, they also have a prop shop. tell him I sent you when you call

Thanks for the input. I talked to Western Skyways and they no longer work on C-145s. Perhaps if I had spoken to Mr. Leis and dropped Mr. Horn’s name?
That said, hopefully my next post will be requesting info regarding break-in procedures.

Ken-
If you use ECI Titan cylinders, ECI has detailed break-in instructions at

Maybe when he learned you had a 170 he figured you knew me.
