This past Monday the banks were closed so I decided to do a little flying to break in a new cylinder. I decided to fly to Lebanon, MO, the TIC170 Assc. home--that gives me some beautiful scenery along the way. When I landed at about 1100 I was told to go on inside the FBO because lunch was ready. Although I protested a little about taking advantage of their hospitality, I was surprised at the layout of food. They evidently serve lunch everyday at 1100 and whoever happens to be there is invited to join in. After some excellent home-cooked ham and bean soup, salad, and potatoes I splurged and had fresh pecan pie still warm (I did pass on the ice cream). Anyway, they were extremely friendly and I would highly recommend stopping in and giving them some business (the lunch made the $2.63/gal much easier to take). They said next time to bring my wife and take the courtesy car down to some of the factory outlet stores in the area.
