I need to post the required placards on the panel in my '56 170B.
Is there a source of pre-made stick-on placards that I could access to get these?
Thanks!

Cessna will sell you a complete set, and I believe there are other commercial sources.
From the Type Certificate:
The following placards must be displayed in front of and in clear view of the pilot:
Model 170:
"This airplane must be operated as a normal or utility category airplane in compliance with the Airplane Flight Manual."
NORMAL "No acrobatic maneuvers including spins approved.
UTILITY "No acrobatic maneuvers except those listed in the Airplane Flight Manual. Baggage compartment and rear seat must not be occupied."
"With two people in the rear seat both front seats must be occupied."
"Maximum Baggage 120 lb. For additional loading instructions see Weight and Balance Data."
Models 170A and 170B:
"This airplane must be operated as a normal or utility category airplane in compliance with the Airplane Flight Manual."
NORMAL "No acrobatic maneuvers including spins approved."
UTILITY "No acrobatic maneuvers approved except those listed in the Airplane Flight Manual. Baggage compartment and rear seat must not be occupied."
"Both tanks on for takeoff and landing."
"Maximum Baggage 120 lb. For additional loading instructions see Weight and Balance Data."
Additionally, for Models 170A and 170B (Seaplanes):
"Retract Water Rudder During Takeoff and Landing."
Model 170B Seaplane "Intentional Spins Prohibited" (Normal and Utility Categories)
The following placard must be displayed in front of and in clear view of the pilot for those aircraft with Items Nos. 208(g) and 208(h) (skis) installed: "Do not extend or retract skis while in motion on the ground."
Be alert to additional required placards when special equipment is installed. Example: The Franklin engine and some propellers have RPM limitations that require a placared. Some Autopilots have placards. Some interior modifications have required placards. The B model has an additonal placard on it's flap handle to "Avoid Slips with full flaps." etc. etc. The Type Certificate should be scrutinized in entirety. Many avionics have specialized placards. All models should have elevator pitch trim takeoff-range placards. etc etc.
