Old smokey is just about stripped and before I reach deep into my pockets and call cessna to get a print of the paint schematic for the 1948 170 I am wondering if anyone has one allready? I have seen other ragwings that have the original scheme, its that I need something a little more detailed than photos, more like dimensions and placement of markings, trim and the such. The last print we bought from cessna was for a 150 a few years back for $50, I'm scared to think what it would cost today.

Vic I dont have drawings but my plane had the original shadows on it when I stripped my paint. I if you want your welcome to stop by and take all the pics you want and I can also help you with the masks for your paint job as I had a local sign shop copy the original shadows and make masks so they are very original and I have the locations as per original. The sign shop has the masks stored on his computer so he would sell you a set if you desire. Look me up in the directory and give me a call if you want I am about 30 miles west of Philly. Bill K
