I'd like to make mention of Del Lehmann, of Mountain Airframe Services, Mena, Arkansas.
Del is a real gentleman. And he knows how to handle an uppity moderator, too.
When Del tried to help our members by offering some parts on our forums, this moderator, by enforcing the standing rules, deleted his message and reminded him that only non-commercial advertisements are allowed in the Flypaper and Forums unless TIC170A advertising policies were followed. He apologized.
He also joined our association. Then, he DONATED those valuable and hard-to-find parts (and many others) to the association for the 2007 convention auction. The proceeds of that auction went to support the association.
What a guy!
He can be reached thru his company, and his email and profile can be found in the Directory and here at the forums under his username:

Thank you, Del!

This is going beyond the call of duty. Thanks so much for your interest in the Association. I want everyone to know this is what keeps our tradition of the 170 alive, people with a big heart. Thanks again.

Del, isn't there an Avionics Shop at the Mena Airport?
I need to get my Garmin GPS looked at (think it's just battery).
May try fly over on Wed or Thurs.

Let's see now.... what are the possibilities.... There's George. Naw. Too nice a guy. Reserved. Jocular. Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obediant, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean. Reverent. Never opinionated.
Then, there's Bruce.

I'd like to add that Del recently gave me some free consultation on an airplane I was considering buying. Thanks, Del.

I needed a rudder and elevator re-skinned. Del provided some sound advice, even though I was forward with him telling him I'ld likely do the repair here at home. I really appreciate his taking the time to touch base.
Never met the man, but he sure seems like the straight shooter kind of a guy I'd want to do business with. Thanks, Del!

Troop 60, Houston, had a few extra Scout Laws, such as "Tired, Hungry, and Horny".

To get back on the subject..........
If you have a crooked flying airplane and you want it straightened out correctly, go see Del. He took my 170 which would do a wing-over by itself and made it fly hands off. Not as exciting anymore but sure is a lot more pleasant on a long trip.
