I got and AP to annual my 1953 170b. He had asked if I had the service manual for the C145 and the aircraft. I don't. Where is the best place to get these manuals?

There is no service manual for 170's, but the information you are looking for is here. http://cessna170.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.p ... ght=manual

Here's another thread that also address the engine manuals.

There is a thread around here somewhere that gives a website where you can download the Pre 1962 service manual for free.

The "official" Service Manual is the "Cessna 100 Series, 1962 and prior" which is now approved. (It has very little applicable info for the 170 however.)
