My first toy was a Stinson 10A. I bought it in 1955 from a flight instructor at Hondo, Texas for $560. It had a Franklin 90 hp engine. I kept it at Lakefield Airfield, a little strip south of Stinson Field, San Antonio.
It was a fun little airplane- 3 seats , two in front and a back seat just big enough for our German Shepherd "Lady".

A brief P.S. about Lakefield Airfield- it was famous in San Antonio because it was the base of two competing crop dusters. One day they had a misunderstanding and that night each put sugar in the other's Stearman gas tank. The next morning wasn't pretty. One later became an FAA inspector.
