I am diligently seeking the Green Flying Service,( Eugene, Oregon), instructions for installing the Franklin 165 HP engine in the 170.

Item 111 on the TCDS, A-799, names the engine as approved, but that it must be installed i/a/w instructions from Green Flying Service. This company is defunct, but somebody must have these instructions stapled in their logbook. Appropriate groveling will be extended to the person wishing to share this infol with me! I have a reman engine sitting in the crate waiting for this data. Thanks,

Sounds like a waste of a perfectly good crate.

Glad to see your access finally got straightened out, Jonathan! Hope someone can come up with this paperwork and will copy us BOTH in on it!

(I had already posted such a request for you back in October at:

So be certain to check both message threads occasionally.)
