Just curious...why? Unless you're planning on operating from rough strips, I'm not sure what the advantage is. The stock gear on my 52 B model has served me well for many years...Russ Farris

If it were me I would have them stripped of all paint, magnafluxed to check for cracks, bead blasted, and then annealed. I would also assemble them with new bolts for the axles.
