180 Gear

Anybody have or know were to get a set of 180 gear for my 51' 170A?????? About how much will this run me and is there anything that I should know before having these put on? *

Just curious...why? Unless you're planning on operating from rough strips, I'm not sure what the advantage is. The stock gear on my 52 B model has served me well for many years...Russ Farris

tailpilot, ... check/search for discussions on this board about such mods. There are pros and cons.

(And you should be a 170 Assn member if you wish to advertise.) :wink:

If it were me I would have them stripped of all paint, magnafluxed to check for cracks, bead blasted, and then annealed. I would also assemble them with new bolts for the axles.
