Oil Cooler failure

I thank everyone who sent compliments on the oil temp article in the current "The 170 News". I hope it is helpful.
I rec'd an email from one of our participants who could not get it to post as a discussion thread, so here it is (and my first response). (Continental wanted to avoid such problems and designed this engine without oil coolers.)

The original engine did not have an oil cooler. Had someone installed one? What type. Do you have pictures? gahorn146ys@hotmail.com

Hi..
The 16 of February, during a local flight had a power loss on my engine due to a loss of oil. Wasn't aware of the situation until I started hearing the punching noise when were hitting metal to metal inside the engine. So, my first reaction was to pull the throttle back and suddenly the prop stopped (but I mean completely, did spin any longer). So I had to performed an emergency landing on a road. had at the moment 900 ft and since I was ascending.
The result of the inspection was that my oil cooler cracked and started liking after I took off. The result on the engine was a stuck connection rod and a blue color on my crankshaft (which is supposedly bad).
So I need a crankshaft and the 6 connection rod or at least the crankshaft by it self for a C-142-2 and is a 8 hole flange.
