There does not appear to be a marking other than a number. It could be a Cleveland or another type (can't remember the name) that was found on Cessna 150s way back when. Try finding a parts book or picture that can ID it. Or maybe the number will ID it. I had the same issue with my 170. The two brakes were diferent and neither had any marking or other ID. I ate the bullet and bought new Clevelands. The funny thing was I had preflighted those brakes for years and never realised they were diferent until I went to a new AI for an annual and he brought it to my attention. I don't like to skimp on brakes or tires.

Thanks, Richard. I was wondering, because the Clevelands on another 170 on my field don't look like this -- they look like the Clevelands on my Swift! I guess Clevelands can come in different shapes for the same application.

I didn't find a 337 or STC for brakes in my logbooks, so maybe that' s repair I'll have to make, unless I can come up with something for them. :(

They look like my Cleavland's........Cleveland used to be pretty good about sending out a new STC if yours was lost.. You might give them a call.

John, after considerable study of the accompanying picture I have tentatively been able to identify your brake as a hydraulically activated, single puck, single disc brake as is typically used on the main wheels of small general aviation airplanes.

Heh! Reminds me of the joke about the lost helicopter pilot who was over a big parking lot, yelled "Where am I" to someone on the ground, and got the answer "In a helicopter!" By which he knew he was over Microsoft's parking lot, because their help was both completely accurate and completely useless!
