33 Alfa learned a lesson that i wouuld like to pass on. As im restoring 33 alfa i have gotten to the point that what was going to be a new paint job was not that easy. After buying an 170 and learnig to fly it, having no other training in any other airplane i fell in love with the tail dragger. Still may not be able to land tryc gear. I was suprised that the plane i learned to fly in was in such need of repair and thats knowing the person who owned it before me. I know a lot of them are in better shape but i would advise everyone to take a good look around to see if your safe. I found just a few items that i think should be looked at that i think are critical, Torque tubes on the tail feathers, you can not see the corrosion on the inside rib of these without looking close. Wing attach points in fuel bays and at strut points. Thanks or all your help but please remember these planes are old. I wii post pictures of 33 Alfa when im done and thanks to George for all hi wisdome.
