2Morrow GPS 820 & 2001 units not working

Well it seems that the good old USA has screwed about a 1000 or more of us pilots out there who fly with 2Morrow GPS products. It seems that the satelites are "date updated" ever 1000 days, well on the last update about 3 weeks ago their new date date is INCOMPATABLE with 2Morrow 820 and 2001 GPS units. You get a warning code of " Lat/Lon can not be computed". A local call to Garmin,(Salem, Oregon) you know those guys who bought out the competition and then promptly stopped manufacturing all of the 2Morrow products. (Eliminated the competion nicely)
A call to Salem, Oregon, Garmin gives the following answer, we know of the problem, we do not know IF we will develop a fix, (after all you have obsolete products in your plane), IF we do develop a fix it might be in the $500.00 or up price range to upgrade the software/hardware in your 2Morrow GPS units, however why don't you just buy one of our new GPS units and have that installed into your plane,....yea like I am ready to fork over $4500.00 to you!
I have pledged to NEVER fly with any GARMIN product in my aircraft ever since I had them upgrade the data base in my original Flybuddy 820 GPS (non card) and after they upgraded the data base they informed me that the old data base 1998 and older was reinstalled as there was no newer data base than the 1998 data base, so basically I paid $250.00 to REINSTALL the old data base I already had, however if I upgraded to the data base card unit then the new data card would be current every 56 days or so.
And now it does not matter what data base I have as the 2Morrow unit is totally useless other than a paper weight.
Can anyone say, Rand Mcnalley, sectional, compass for navigation now!
I think every one of us who still has a 2Morrow product needs to put the screws to Garmin to support the 2Morrow product that they purchased!
