I have a 1948 and want to equalize my fuel. instead of 12.5 on the left and 25 on the right. Is it possible to get an 2 equal fuel tanks?

I owned a 48 that had the extra tank but I can't remember how it was installed STC or Field approval.

Gary, the way most ragwing owners deal with this is to install a 4th 12.5-gal tank in the left wing. (but then you'll have to sit in the middle of the two front seats when you fly solo.)

Gary Rawings never came from the factory with two left fuel tanks. If you come up with a good 140 or ragwing 170 tank you can take it and your current left tank to a welding shop and have the appropriate inter connects installed to duplicate the instalation that exists on the right wing. You will have to make sure you have the proper supports under the tank. As you can see it will involve quite a bit of work. It was done to my plane early on in its life and I really like the extra range for really lets me fly almost 50% further before I am getting into my coservative reserve. Bill K
