Adding a shoulder harness to a B model
I've read here that my 1953 170B should have a #10 rivnut installed in it's rear spar, for installation of a shoulder harness, but I've looked, in the vicinity of the rear door post, and cannot find it. Can someone direct me very specifically to it's location and/or send a photo? Thanks!

Eddie,
Look at the Bas WEB site listed below. There are several pictures that will help you locate the Riv-nut in the Carry Through Spar.

It is always possible that the rear carry throgh spar may have been replaced for corrosion and the replacement part may not have the platenut installed.
