Who is the best/lowest price supplier for Gill G-25S batteries? Mine is just over 2 yrs old and appears to be giving up the ghost :(

I finally decided that my battery box was more valuable than batteries, so I went over to the Concorde gel cells in hopes I'll never find corrosion in that box again after I treated/painted it.

Frank

Desser Tire had the best deal last I looked with FREE shipping but it has been a while. Check them out.

The Desser website is the most troublesome, pop-up enabled, B.S. site I've visited in a long time, and you can't get a battery price out of them without long downloads and wading thru a load of junk. I suggest calling them on the phone.
Aircraft Spruce will sell you the Gill 25S for $165. They paid shipping also, last time I ordered from them. (I can't believe how everyone is jacking up prices these days still claiming that increased fuel prices are to blame when fuel is actually back down again. Haven't they heard there's a RECESSION going on?) :!:

The best practice is to shop around the different suppliers when you are looking for a battery because prices do fluctuate between them. Like Geogre, I have never been disappointed by Aircraft Spruce.

George, I too was unable to get anywhere w/ Desser's website :x Maybe I will call them tomorrow. However, I need some additonal info. I switched to a sealed, lead acid battery to eliminate the corrosion problem. With the sealed G-25S I had no such problem. Tell me something about the gell battery (pro & con). What brand, model is best for out planes. Cost?

It's comparable to the battery you are searching for. It's just that I was able to find the Concorde a few bucks cheaper the day I ordered. (I shouldn't have used the term "gel cell". It's actually a VRLB (sealed).

Boy, George you had me salivating when you said gel cell, instead of recumbent, I've been waiting for a gel cell that was certified for the 170, still haven't :( .....Brad
