A little instrument panel clean out

I spent most of the weekend removing stuff left over from the last 58 years. Removed old radios and racks. Replaced every wire behind instrument panel with tefzel. Rewired mic and audio jacks, dome light, speaker, and all power wires to fuse holders. All new battery cables, mags and harnesses. Removed ADF antenna from belly. Found a flasher unit, about 4 inches square that I believe at one time was used to flash the nav lights. Found the stall warning buzzer/light mounted underneath the panel on the firewall. It of course does not work. All in all another productive weekend.

Don't toss that stall warning light and buzzer. They are easy to take apart and fix. look at your parts cat. and be careful while you take it apart. Look at earlier threads on the subject and look at the replacement costs! Just a thought as you go through the panel. Jon

Yes what ever you do don't through that stall warning horn/light away. I'll give you $5 and buy you lunch on my next visit to Havasu. :)

BTW the stall warning horn/light was an option on an A model and not a required piece of equipment.

Thanks, I will look at it closer. I was thinking about replacing it with a buzzer, but I will rethink it.

B-model owners will find that the stall warning and light are REQUIRED equipment. And it's true...the price is scarey. Last time I checked, the horn/light was $2400 and the switch was $1600. 8O

I have that same wiring harness hanging on my wall in the garage. I keep thinking some originality nut might want to but it on e-bay.
