Pitot tube moves

I was washing bugs off the leading edge today and noticed that my pitot tube will move a quarter inch or so if pressed. I have the original style pitot. The pitot has the black rubber grommet on it and I have never noticed any problem with the airspeed indicator. The tube moves within the hole in the leading edge. Just curious if this is ordinary or not. I suppose a some what larger black rubber grommet would fix the problem.

Item (2)... (see the inset at lower left) is a Tinnerman clamp, part no. A-2980A-4-27. which holds the pitot in place. Be certain it's in place, otherwise, a small amount of movement is normal.

Mine, after 59 years has very little movement. I have replaced the grommet, as they do get hard and shrink and crack. I would check to see if all the clips are in place that hold the tube to the nearby rib. Could be one of the screws is loose, or a clip is cracked.
