Hi George, I am just about to paint the cowl on my '53, 1864c and almost forgot thet the grill is silver between the two openings. My prints from cessna didn't include the nosebowl detail, therefore I'm unsure of how the paint should look. I would be grateful if you could possibly show a drawing or maybe a photo of your nose cap. I have searched the internet and the 170 book but to no avail. I will be painting tomorrow so time is of the essence, however if I don't hear back I'll wing it! thanks again, trying to get it done in time for Duluth. Nelson Sundby

George, Thanks so much, your quick response is always appreciated. Your help and the help of the TIC seems to be never ending. Enough of the sap, time to go paint. Sundby

You wouldn't believe the number of times I've received hate-mail criticism for responding quickly to questions. The criticisms usually involve a charge that I am "hogging" the show and should allow others to respond first.

Damned if I do. Damned if I don't. :?

Glad to help.

George it seems like you are Dammed period. :P

Looks like JUDGE Bruce has been watching your posts all year and making a list. :D

May be tough to keep that "Originality nut" with a years worth of Bruce making a list and checking it twice.

The rules do not deduct for a "C" engine.

(The baggage door, dual landing lites, BAS tail-pull handles might, however. Still... they don't add up to 25 points, so if I were to have it judged ...it would not fall out of the original category.)
