Does anyone know if it's ok to use Rainx on your windshield? Thanks.

I use rainx on glass and am very happy. I would NEVER use it on any plastic as it contains alcohol and as it starts to dry and you are rubbing it off it will scratch. I have used Johnson's Pledge non- arasol type (hard to find) It not only cleans everything including bugs but will actually repell dust. I talked to the people at Johnson's and they said " although they were limited to their endorsing it on airplane use" it could not hurt the plane and because it contained some of the same chemicals as the windscreen would be good for it.

YEP, use RainX on our windshield and love it. Cleans real good! My wife likes to keep the handy wipes in the glovebox. We've used it for years, never noticed increased scratching, but maybe we should stop on the plastic windshield. HMMMMMMMMMM!

Alcohol will not harm plexiglas. In fact, Isopropyl is what windshield installers use to remove their own fingerprints and smudges after they finish the job. Extensive, and continuous use may dry the plastic out, but I doubt if you can do it over the ordinary life of a windshield.

I just went to clean my plastic lense saftey glasses. Used the Baush & Lomb Sight Savers Pre-Moistened Tissue.
- For cleaning glass and plastic lenses:
- Contains Isopropyl Alcohol
- Contiene alchohol isopropilico
- Contient de l'isopropanol
Going out into the turbines. Now that would excite you mechanics. Did any of you ever fly with GE LM2500 Gas Turbine's hung on the wings. I'm told they were used on DC10's ?

Well now, you must be working at a pump station. You ever run into Dave Town?

Production Facility on the Kuparuk Field. The Turbines are for our Power Generation. Don't know Dave Town, sounds like he works for Alyeska?
