Here's an interesting factoid. Notice the leakage is calibrated in GALLONS. (This gives a whole new perspective with regard to Bruce's contribution to our dependancy on foreign oil.)

Well using the rate of 1 drop every 10 seconds to make .11 gallons an hour I get 19636.3636 drops in a quart.
Using this info I created a chart showing quarts per hour loss and what that translates into.

For those Excel geeks :
Drops of oil.xls
Looking at the chart I was losing about a quart every 2.5 hours which is about 8.7 drops every ten seconds.

We may have figured out why there is not much "Pennsylvania-grade" oils sold anymore. Perhaps the market has been cornered.

Remember that usage rate was BEFORE Frank made me feel guilty and seal all my pushrod tubes. I'm currently at about 1 drip per hour in the last two hours of flight. A shocking difference I doubt will keep up.
W you put 2 cases of oil on the end of your runway, I'll be sure to stop and pick them up.
