Control Column Crack

I have been searching for the thread about a crack at a drain hole on the lower end of the control column, (control tee) just above the point it connects to the elevator push-pull rod. Fig. 26, in the 170A parts manual. Fig. 61, in the 170B parts manual.
Can someone point me to that thread? I would like to review it before I put my brother's 170A back together.

George addressed it here. In my opinion, the cost of membership more than pays for itself with access to this post of his alone. It could be a lifesaver.

You are correct. But I wonder how I saw this in the past if I don't have access to the thread.

A recent change restricted the MX LIbary to the Members-only section.
