170B & 195B
Well I'm off to look at a 170B Lyc O-360 and a 195B both at the same airport. The 170B is a project for resale. It just needs a C/S prop, oil gears, carb float all on AD's and a good radio. I have a new prop but I want the 80" prop spinner and balancer from Top Props for mine. The 195 has a run out engine old radio panel. I have been after him since Thanksgiving having only seen pictures. I found another 195B with a new panel and radios and engine, that needs to be assembled. I have an offer on it, now I have to shake the tree a little and see which one falls out. Lance

If you get the 195 are you going to get rid of your 170?
Re: 170B & 195B
Turns out the 195 needs a lot of work and the owner thinks its gold. Fools gold maybe. On the other hand the 54 170B has a lot going for it where talking with the owner to see if we can reach a deal. Sat I'm flying out to look at a 195 that I have a offer in and want to talk further with the owner to see if we can meet in the middle somewhere. Lance

Got the One Still working on that choice 54 170B Lyc O-360 C/S Prop tucked away for years. Just like the 195 was.
Re: 170B & 195B
Yeah.....that 195 is all messed up. It'll take a lot of work to get it back pretty and original. Look at that cut-up, goofy, "modern" panel and the yucky non-red color!
