Correct angle for pitot tube?

Is there a reference for the pitot tube angle?
Looks like the paint shop bent the tubing on mine (It points more toward the sky than forward) and consequently, the ASI is a bit erratic at slow speeds/high angles of attack.

Fearless,
On page 16-9, figure 16-3 of the 100 series service manual you can find a template for the pitot tube contour.
Although it refers to the 172-175 models, it works well for the 170 also, I found it useful on my plane. Pm me your email and I can send you a copy if you need.

This template is for a 172/175 and is out ot the Cessna Service Manual '62 and Prior which of course is the same wing profile as a 170A and B. I think it's the best you'll do for a '48 which is not the same wing profile but I think you can swag it.
Make sure you print the PDF with no reduction or enlargement

I bend mine down just enough so that water will not collect in it when the plane is on the ground.
