Re: Water inside Doors
I left mine in the ramp a few days and some rain got in the baggage door. It had a small drain hole (inside the door, rounded bottom edge) that didn’t start draining until I opened the door…due to the seal. I plan to monitor this and treat the internal area.

Re: C170B Fuel Selector Valve
The original design tends to corrode from water sitting in it. Mine was dripping through the top shaft so I had mine rebuilt a few years ago. It started leaking again a few months later so I went with the McFarlane one. All machined aluminum and uses OEM o-rings. It is a bear to remove/install becau...

Re: $170 Leaf Spring Bushing
If there isn’t excessive play, I’d slap her in with some grease protection. A local machine shop could turn one out for a lot less than $1000. Maybe for a case of beer.

If someone already did the SB with logbook entry two years ago, does he need a new AD logbook entry?

We had a great time, and weather was just right. Most of the ride home was under a high cloud layer, smooth and cool-ish.

Wow, a GI275! He is lucky to have made it. I’d love to see pictures of his panel. I wonder what he had for backup indicators.

Re: School me on Venturi horns
I went to check the two that came off 83C and was surprised to find one is 1.5”x1.5” and the other 1.5” x 2”. Yea, I’m surprised mine is different. A local mechanic is going to look through his pile of spares and see if he can help. He may also have another pulley but I’m not sure I want to stick w...

Well shoot, I got my hands on a venturi, but it’s 1.5” square mounting holes don’t match my existing 1.5”x2.0” holes (currently filled with rivets).
