I lost the tach in our 170b about a year ago .I replaced the cable and replaced the tach with one from aircraft spruce .I had the hours rolled up to the right time for an additional fee. the new tach cable was not compatible with the new tach that I was sent so I had one made near here and it was no...

oil leaks ,pushrod tubes
I have some irritating oil leaks in the pushrod tube area that I need to fix on a 1952 170 b .Is there a sure cure ? I know there was some discussion on the old site on this subject ,but I have not found it . All input would be appreciated . Thanks Mark

I broke the strap that connects the inside door handle to the latch on a 170 -b model is there any way to change the strap without removing the latch ? It looks like I will have to drill out the 6 rivets and remove the latch to get to the strap .

Polishing an aluminum airplane
I would like some input from those who have polished airplanes. I am polishing our 170 B with Nuvite and want to know if there is a better product. Are there waxes on the market for polished aluminum?

Fuel flow
I am interested in getting fuel flow input from other members. We have a 53 170 B and I am burning 9 g.p.h. leaned without the use of an E.G.T. .All that I read is closer to8 G.P.H. rather than 9 . The compression is good on all cylinders . Mark
