Tail wheel
Hallo my new ABI 3200 ( ex Scott) tailwheel. What do you think about my assembly? Any suggest? Thank you

Re: Tail wheel
The U clamp that is attached at around the top bracket and the main springs is installed upside down. The nuts should be up. Could be deceiving but it looks like the tire is a little low. Should be 35lbs.
Are you having trouble with it? If not I wouldn't touch a thing except flip the U clamp.

Re: Tail wheel
So I take another look and notice this black area. Blowing it up it looks like there is a shadow line like this is a doubler or something. Is it a doubled sheet of material raped around the bottom? Or is it just black paint. If a doubler this would be a repair for a cracked bracket.

Re: Tail wheel
The reason for orientation of the U-bolt is to avoid cracking the tailpiece of that aluminum bracket. This looks like a repair scheme for a broken tailpiece.... perhaps for an improperly installed u-bolt previously?
