Engine Mount Bracket

Post by MontanaBird »

The bracket on my 170B has a crack, and we are looking for the best source to obtain a replacement, which would be one of these:

40044 Bracket, Engine Mount (Right Rear & Left Front)

Can those with experience in such things provide some thoughts on how to proceed? I am ready to get it

thnx

I'll check my box of parts, I know I have some spare mounts, not sure which ones as I 've sold a few. Where are you located ? I'll be flying to the convention next week, likely through your area. Send a PM. You might have to become a member :D

I've misplaced my 0-300 IPC, so if you could identify which position is cracked, likely others can chime in on the replacement. From my memory some of the through bolts pass thorough the mount brackets. There's also a good article in the latest EAA mag on disturbing the through bolts when doing a top overhaul.

Got that George, but I was thinking about the replacement complications with respect to the specific position.

I don't follow what you're saying Jim. Can you be more specific?
