Where can on get the STC for 8.50X6 tires on a 170B

If you are doing a 337 you are going to need some more paper work. I think you mean log book entry and up date W&B?bigrenna wrote:There is NO STC needed for the use of 8.5x6 tires on the C170. Some years back a friend gave me a pair of 8.50s to try on my '52 C-170B. I found them to be fine on dirt or grass, but they were a little squirrely on pavement.
I checked my allignment and it seemed to be OK and I tried a couple of different pressures and even installed double puck brakes. I finally gave them up since most of my flying was done on pavement. The 8.00s I tried came too close to the brake calipers without rotor spacers so I settled on 7.00s for regular use.
