I went to the airport today to compare the Scott tailwheel with the new $19.99 solid tailwheel/tire from the Chinese Tool Store. It matched up almost perfectly so it's a direct bolt-in replacement for emergency purposes, no spacers required. The Scott tailwheel tire was a little under inflated. The side to side picture looks like the solid tire is not symmetrical but that is just the angle of the picture, the solid tire is symmetrical side to side.

I didn't weigh it but it feels like 2-3 pounds, about the same as the Scott and not enough difference to make any difference.
As far as I can tell, it is about as close as you could get dimensionally. The only real question in my mind is would it last for one takeoff and landing? If so, it would be a good emergency spare and if the tire rots off in 10 years before it gets used, so what? You haven't lost anything.
The only time I have been caught with a flat tailwheel that could not be fixed was years ago at Lake Powell in my C-180. It had a chinese tube that no patch would stick to, neither a cold patch nor a hot patch. I finally bought 100' of 3/8" nylon rope and wound it into the tire as tight as it would go then reassembled the tire onto the tailwheel. It worked fine and just looked like it needed some air. I bought a Goodyear tube at Jackson Hole and replaced it there. When the rope came out, it had a knot every foot or so and the rope was completely ruined but it had done the trick. Everybody has tiedown rope with them so that might be the best answer yet on fixing a flat tailwheel tire.
