Is there an stc for cowl latch replace, ent

Post by shortfielder »

I got the other style cowling I was looking for that has the latches on the sides. And as much as I like the look of the latches I here they can be troublesome. I have a buddy that thought there was an stc to replace the latches with some 1/4 turn fasteners. Anyone know of this?

I also got my approval today to put the 175 wings on the 170. This was run all the way up through certification, so it should be pretty easy for anyone else interested to get the approval, atleast so I was told by my friend that helped me though this process.

You are probably thinking of the "Dip Davis" latches.
