170A Flap spring attach bracket wear

Post by C170U2 »

When I took off the flaps today I found the bracket that attaches the flap spring to the flap was badly worn. The part I am talking about is on page 11 of the parts manual (6-5) and is part number 0520120-2. Over the years I guess the rubbing ate away at the metal. If you own an A model I would recommend checking this bracket on your next walk around.

Just wanted you all to know.....and don't worry, that tiny part is only $180 8O . Looks like I will have to make my own or check the scrap yard.

Are you sure about that PN? (not sufficient digits)?

Looks like a perfect candidate for an 'owner-produced part' to me.
