The plug on my phone charger cord looks like the bottom above plug with the beveled edges. Is that a "Micro" USB?
As you can see, I'm not really smart enough to read the whole above comment or I wouldn't come up with such a dumb question.
It is sometimes dicconcerting to realize the the USAF managed to progress even after they retired me fifty years ago. However, it is becoming more understandable as I so gracefully age.

Re: Power Port Chargers
BL,
The mini USB goes into your phone. That is not important and doesn't designate what voltage your charger is supplying through the plug to the phone.
If your charger cord is a USB cord, meaning it has a mini USB on one end and a larger standard USB like I pictured on the other, and this cord plugs into a charger that goes in the wall, what you phone has is a standard USB charging system
If your charging system looks something like the picture above you can plug the USB cord into any USB plug whether it is the wall charger, the 12v cig adapters we have shown or even the USB plug on your computer, and charge your phone.
If on the other hand your charger has the cord attached and you can not unplug the cord from it, it may not be a standard USB 5v output charger and we have to look further.
What model LG phone do you have?
BTW the USB plug standard voltage is 5v but the amp capability of the plug can be different.

BL, remember what we have been told. "The only dumb question is one that isn't asked." That saves a lot of us from embarrassment

bluEldr, you can plug that micro usb in without worrying about the voltage compatibility.... In other words, yes, they're standardized .
