Cessna 170 A Original Instrument Panel Light Bulbs.

Cessna 170 A Original Instrument Panel Light Bulbs.
Does anyone know what the Cessna p/n 0511060 for the instrument panel light bulbs equates to in normal light bulb part numbers. I am trying to get my originally installed instrument panel lights operational ( have already replaced all the old style cloth covered wires for the panel lights) and need to know what the correct bulb number is. I found 1892's and 1893's and 1816's that were installed and need to know what the correct bulb part number would be, so not to put a strain on the original rheostat and the in line resistor. Any help would be appreciated.

Dave,
If you look at the C-170 IPC you see that the instrument panel light system is the same as that of the C-170A and the early C-170B models. The one difference is that the p/n for the 6 bulbs is different --1826 rather than 0511060. They can be found here. Do a search using "1826" on this site and the Cessna 120-140 website for more information on these bulbs. Kyle makes reference to a green boot he bought to cover them here. The boots are also available in other colors including red.

Thanks for the direction and insight, I just could not figure out why there were so many different bulbs installed out of the 7 total, there were three different numbers, all 13-14 volt rated, different CP and AMP draws, etc and the 10 ohm in-line resistor got pretty warm........I'll get some 1826's and give it a shot....I have an electronic copy of the C170A IPC but not a C170.......Again thanks for you help...... New Note: I took the liberty of looking in the "original owners manual" which I have one for my bird.......and I found it under the section of Nav lights/instrument lights...the bulb listed is..... # 1826......come to find out its a 18v, a .12 amp, 2.7 CP light bulb and it cautions not to use anything larger in amperage rating as it will burn up the rheostat, well that's a fore gone conclusion, as I find out now that the rheostat is bad as well, got a new more modern style replacement, gonna order the 1826 bulbs and finish this project up.
