ECI changes ownership
just had a phone call from a supplier stating that ECI has been bought by owners of Continental .They are not producing any more ECI parts for Continental. they are producing only parts for Lycoming. The information supplied has only been supplied to me by a supplier and I am trying to substantiate this info. I heard a rumour at Oshkosh but pasted it off as BS.

Re: ECI changes ownership
I talked to our tour guide at Oshkosh from Continental and was told they had just bought ECI since the convention. I like that due to the problems I had with ECI.

Re: ECI changes ownership
If it was bought by the owners of Continental that would be Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). That may not necessarily be a good thing.

Re: ECI changes ownership
That's true, and as long as they keep production in the US the quality should be good. Having spent a lot of time in China I am not impressed with their quality control on so many things.
