If Gahorn's set doesn't work out let me know. I recently acquired a keyboard in a box of stuff I bought from that on line auction house!

Thanks Kyle! I think I might need them both. I added it up tonight, and I'm up to 9 switches:

Master
Avionics Master
Fuel Pump (Avcon conversion)
Pitot Heat
Landing Light
Taxi Light
Panel Lights
Nav Lights
Rotating Beacon

Did I forget any? And yes, I know I can double up the taxi/landing lights onto 1 switch, but I like to have them separate, and honestly at this point it's not a big deal either way.

You can put your taxi and landing on a single dpdt switch and have it UP for Taxi, Center Off, Down Both.
Same with Nav/panel or Strobe (up Nav, Down both)

I put my beacon on a pull out breaker without a switch so it's always on with the master. Easy to tell if you left your master on.

I'd suggest putting the panel lights on a rheostat which can be switched off. Do a search for "rheostat" here and you'll find a lot to read. Neal, of the 120-140 website, has a thorough explanation here, much of which applies to the C-170.

Hi All,

Between Kyle and Gahorn, I think I can get enough of the piano keys, I can make the mounting bracket, switches are available from Aircraft Spruce, but I think I'll end up short a couple of those little limiting J clips. Does anyone know where I can get some? I googled the p/n, but didn't come up with any sources.

Thanks,

OOOpppps.... either I forgot... ....(which is correct)... or YOU forgot to remind me to remember... ... to find them and ship them to you... So email me and include the address if you still need them.

George,

I still need them, just trying to track down a second set to get the required number of switches to complete my Frankenstein panel. If you are in a rush to get rid of them, lemme know.

Thanks,
Dennis

You do know the switches (behind the piano keys) are standard AN switches. Nothing special otherwise. You don't need another panel to collect enough.

Bruce,

Correct, but I need the keys, the mounting bracket, and the little J clips. I know where a set of keys are, and I could probably make/modify a bracket, but those little J clips don't seem to exist anywhere except scrap yards who aren't interested in digging through the pile for only a few $$ part sale.
