I'm looking to replace the black baffle seal which is found on the '52 and earlier bafflng. This is the black material that looks like its come kind of covering rolled over a round rubber filler and stitched.
I'm sure Spruce or Wag Aero sells it but it's difficult looking at the cateloge pictures determining what is the right stuff.
What has anyone else used.

It's a heavy duty cowling seal constructed of buna-n cover sewn around a 1/2" silicone cord. It has a 1/2" bulb with a 1" flap on it. I can get it in 9 ft lengths for $10/ft which includes a $5 donation to TIC170A.

I bought some from Wag Aero. Item # I940000 Cowl Seal 9 FT roll (VS-6491) shown on page 25 of the new March Sun' n Fun Issue I just got in the mail. Lists for $58 plus about $10 to ship.
Wag Aero lists this as a CODE 8 Item, which means it does not carry an FAA/PMA, TSO and is sold for Experimental aircraft use.
I needed a short piece (less than 2 feet) along the top of the back of the inner cylinder cowling. I found it was a little fat and did not fit that well as it was difficult to close the inner cowling with the seal in between the two. The flange is only about 3/4" wide.
I have over 7 feet left of this, if it's something you might be able to use, I'ld be happy to mail you a chunk of it to try out.
